I am one of the many American's that stands behind all of the President's decisions. Alot of people's problems is that they do not let the one's chosen to make decisions, to make them. As for the war that is going on right now. The one we know as ''The War on Terrorism'' . I know a few people who have been over there fighting the war and I also know a few people who are currently over there right now and I do keep in touch with them and I personally know one person who paid the ultimate price in this war. I personally think that if someone is going to enjoy the freedoms of this great country then the last thing they should be doing is sitting over here complaining about the president's choices.
The other day I was eating lunch at Chick-fil-a on Zebulon Road and all of the tables were taken. Their was a soldier looking for a place to sit and he asked if he could sit by a couple of me and my friends and I told him of course he could sit down. We got on the subject of how people treated him after a lady in the restaurant offer to buy his lunch. He told us how some people would go out of their way to be nice but sometimes there would be the ones that go out of their way to say something rude. These men and women are putting their lives on the line for all of us and some people can do nothing but complain.
I realize that the reasons for the United States going to war have changed. Even though the reasons have changed and the directions for the war have changed the main objective has not changed and that is to keep America safe. Some people do not think what is happening across the seas affects the well being of America and to those people I would remind them of where the plot of 9/11 took place.
After reading the Mailer I can tell you that I do not agree with their point of views on the war. I felt as if the writer was against the war effort from the first day. I also do not like how the writer degrades the President along with his speeches. If you do not like the war then keep your oppions to yourself.

To Get To the Other Side
I numbered Abigail as one. Because she was the main character in the story. I rated her character as a five because I would not any respect for someone like that in my own life. As I read the story and it told the terms Sinbad ,the river boat captain had given her. She did the right thing in the first place when she refused her offer. She had all my respect then. But when she changed her mind that is when she lost all of my respect, and she received an instant five.
My choice for number two was Sinbad the river boat captain. He also received a five. He does not have any type of morals. Anyone that would try to suduse any woman much less a woman who is involved with someone already obviously does not have any morals. When two people are in relations with each other no one else has any business getting involved with either person.
Ivan is my third choice and I give a one. I think he played an important role in this story. If more people would learn to stay out of other peoples problems. If more people would practice this a great deal of arguments that do happen would be simplified. Even though Ivan was asked to get involved he was smart enough to know that this was not his fight to get involved into.
I chose to give Gregory a two. The only reason I chose to give a two instead of one is that some people believe that people make mistakes and should be forgiven for their mistakes. I for one believe that to a certain extent. But the decision he made of not forgiving Abigail is one that I truly believe in. If I were in his position then I would made the same choice.
As for Slug, I give him a five. I refer to earlier in my blog entry in saying that it was not his fight to be involved with. I do not think he was in the wrong because of getting involved with Abigail, but I do think that he should have done anything to Gregory.

Gay's Teaching Today's Youth
prompt Human Rights v. Majority Rule
Alot of people say that gay's should not let people know about the way they choose to live thier lives . Some say that they should not hide thier choice of lifestyle . But when it involves today's youth , the line must be drawn at some point .
From a moral standpoint there is no questioning it , women and men are supposed to be married to someone of the opposite sex , not the same sex . It is every person's own right to make their own choices in life . From a social standpoint , I personally think it is a wrong choice to make . I have a child who is two years old , and when I think of who will be teaching him when he is in school I don't really care for the idea of his teacher being someone living that type of lifestyle . Teachers have many responsibilities , one of is to set an example for thier students and I personally do not think that is a good example to be setting . This choice of life does not affect someone's ability to teach but it does not send a good message to the students .
It is morally wrong to be gay . Even the military has a '' Don't ask, Don't tell '' rule . Even though i do not agree with their type of lifestyle , I do think it takes alot of nerve to come out in the open and reveal thier choice.
From a political standpoint , what else is to be said but politics . I think that majority of politions are '' fence jumpers '' meaning that they will vote for just about anything on any given day , depending on which way they get the most votes for . Some politions take the stand of being for gay's and gay marrage . Very few say that they are for gay marrage .
Even though I the Bible says that it is a sin to have same sex relations people still chose to do so . I do not personally agree with their choice , but I do not judge someone for the lifestyle that they choose . Politically , gay or not gay a vote is a vote .

prompt:Right or Wrong.
How many times have you seen something, or heard of something that someone said or did, and you could not believe what you have just heard, or what you have just seen? Watching the news, or reading a newspaper, you learn about all kinds of things going on in today's society. Some things make you smile, and some things make you just shake you head in disgust, and ask yourself; what's wrong with people? Don't they know right from wrong?
I believe everyone is taught some type of morals, and manners when they are being raised as a child. I think that alot of times people are to quick to lay blame on how a person was treated as a child or raised. Granted, parents should try their best to teach their children right from wrong, but their teachings only go so far. That person has got to want to do right also. I have seen more than one time, and I am sure you have to, a person doing something, or saying something that you know that their parents would not have tolerated when they were little. When someone does something mean or wrong, they should be punished. I also believe when someone does something right or good then they should be rewarded. I am not telling you to snap every person's head off that does something that you don't think is right, but maybe explain your views on why you don't think what they did was appropriate. Just the same, if someone does something you agree with then speak up and say so. I know there are always exceptions to the rules in every thing but if everyone tried this, I think that the world would be a lot less stressful place to live.
Therefore, I do think that people know right from wrong. But sometimes, I think they might need a little guidance or reassurance every know and again. If you think you are someone that could maybe do a little more good or rights things in you life, then maybe you could start by finding someone you know that is doing wrong or going down the wrong path, then maybe you could talk to them and you could both try to change together. I know I have some down falls of my own that I could definitely work on. What about you?

perception
When you perceive something, it is just another way of saying that you are aware of it.
Perceiving something is the actual action of doing so. But perception is how a person puts it
all together.
When you have heard something, seen something, read something, or just heard
something, the way you interpret the information obtained by you is called your perception
of something. A lot of times there is more than one way for something to be perceived ,as a
matter of fact, most of the times there are more than one way to perceive things. That is why it
is so important to listen closely to someone, or something when you find yourself interested into
a conversation. Because when you think you have heard something, or seen something you
could be just not hearing all of the story and facts, or you could just be hearing or seeing only on
side of a problem or story. That is why it is important to listen closely and if you think you did
not hear something correctly or do not agree with something it is important to speak and say
something or to ask questions.
I know that I have heard somethings said and I took them the wrong way, and it has
caused problems, and it was not meant the way I took it or I did not hear the person completely
or I did not let the person finish and it all could have been avoided had I just listened better or
been not so quick to judge. But, on the other hand that person could have also watched what
she said and it also might have avoided the problem. Which brings me to another point also
watch what you say, how you say it, and who you say it to will also help from keeping any kind
of problems from any type of misunderstanding.
I think is very important for all people to know that everything that they do, or say can be
heard, or seen at anytime therefore they should act and talk as if they were before an audience
anytime they take action on anything. The same could also be said about the people perceiving
what is said or done your perception of their actions may not be the right one so stay open
minded, but strong hearted.
